Short answer. Book a private if you want a teacher’s full attention: a first class alone, a stubborn move, heels, a choreography, or help before a show. Group classes remain the normal way to start.
Who they are useful for
- Complete beginners who prefer individual teaching before joining a group. Ask for an introductory lesson with no prior experience required.
- A specific skill. One move, one side, one bad habit. The hour can ignore the syllabus.
- Heels. Shoe, walk and pole together, without a mixed-level group.
- Choreography. Building a phrase for a class showing or a personal project.
- Competition or performance preparation. Flow Factory describes private classes as a place to prepare a performance or a competition, among other goals. That is optional coaching, not an application process.
- Visitors. If you are in Brussels for a short time, one private is sometimes easier to schedule than a weekly course. Ask the studio whether a single hour is possible.
- Small groups. Friends, an EVJF, a birthday. That product is closer to a private event than to a one-to-one lesson, and studios price it differently.
